How You Can Help

Sponsor A Child

Our mission is to nurture each child at Children's Homes in Korea into a responsible and fulfilled adult through comprehensive support. By pairing sponsors with children, we offer a dual-path approach: a personal connection through prayer and letter-writing and a tangible commitment of a minimum monthly donation of $35 until the child reaches adulthood. This donation, seemingly small compared to daily expenses, accumulates in a bank account in the child's name, saved for their education or housing needs upon leaving the home. As we continue to identify children in need, we invite compassionate individuals to join this transformative journey, ensuring a brighter, self-sufficient future for every child under our care.

Birthday Gift Fund

Recognizing the unique need for children at Children's Homes to feel cherished, we started the Birthday Gift Fund in 2017, ensuring that each child, sponsored or not, receives a special gift on their birthday. By requesting an annual contribution of $35, we're committed to celebrating each child's individuality and joy on their special day. We firmly believe that no child should be left without a moment of happiness on their birthday, and we encourage everyone to contribute to this effort, reinforcing our belief that every child deserves recognition and celebration. Your donation can light up a child's face with a smile and make them feel loved and valued.

Christmas Dinner Fund

During the hectic holiday season, as we fret over the perfect gifts for our loved ones, it's crucial to remember the children at Children's Homes, for whom the longing isn't for presents but for the warmth of family ties—some yearn to reunite with their loved ones. Recognizing that we cannot replace a family's love, we're committed to providing a sense of belonging and joy through our Christmas Dinner Fund. Instead of focusing solely on gifts, we aim to celebrate togetherness, sharing a festive meal among the 53 children who call Sinaewon their home. Starting with a humble food truck feast in 2016, our annual catered Christmas dinner has become a beacon of joy and community for these children. We invite you to donate and make each Christmas a unique, memorable occasion for them, filled with love, laughter, and the spirit of family.

Volunteer

We are looking for loving, caring, and dedicated volunteers who would like to make a difference in the lives of our sponsored children in the areas of:

  1. Translating the cards and letters written by our sponsors/children from English to Korean and vice versa.

  2. Fundraising for our programs and activities for the children (i.e., Summer Vision Trip, Christmas Dinner, and more).

  3. Hosting or chaperoning the high school students who come to the US on our Summer Vision Trip (i.e., homestay, taking the kids to Disneyland, Universal Studios, LACMA, or just driving them around).
